Only about 15% of the energy from the fuel you put in your tank gets used to move your car down the road or run useful accessories, such as air conditioning. The rest of the energy is lost to engine and driveline inefficiencies and idling. Therefore, the potential to improve fuel efficiency with advanced technologies is enormous. With an Electric Car it costs just $2.00 per 100kms with MUCH more performance than with petrol at $20.00 per 100kms.

1967 Pontiac LeMans Drag Racing at Lebanon Valley Dragway on September 29th 2008.
LAS VEGAS, April 13, 2008 – Jason Line captured his first national-event victory of the season by defeating Greg Stanfield in a close all-Pontiac GXP final round. The 38-year-old Minnesota native and current resident of Troutman, N.C., entered raceday with his Summit Racing Pontiac qualified in the No. 2 position. Line defeated Johnny Gray in round one running 6.772 seconds at 203.74 mph, Jeg Coughlin in round two with a 6.789 e.t. at 203.83 mph, and in the closest race of the day, Kurt Johnson in the semifinals with a 6.793 second run at 203.58 mph.
In the finals against Stanfield, both Pontiacs were close to even off the starting line with Stanfield’s GXP grabbing a slight advantage, but by the 330-foot marker, Line’s Pontiac edged ahead and crossed the finish line with a winning 6.782 e.t. at 203.83 mph. Stanfield followed with a 6.816-second run at 203.16 mph. Line’s margin of victory was .03 of a second.
“This is the best car I’ve had in a year and a half,” Line said. “This is really exciting and a big deal for us, and today we managed to get it done. The engine didn’t perform as well today as we would have liked, but the car made up for it and the chassis department saved us. Especially when we had to race Kurt (Johnson) in that right lane. Everybody struggled to get down it (the right lane) but that 6.79, I have to admit, was a pretty impressive run by anybody’s standards.”
CONCORD, N.C., Sept. 14, 2008 Race fans looking forward to the grand opening of the zMax Dragway @ Concord, and the running of the Inaugural Carolinas Nationals, were treated to a spectacular weekend of on-track action that culminated with a Sunday afternoon Pro Stock victory for Pontiac’s Justin Humphreys. The 27-year-old Humphreys captured his first career win by defeating Kurt Johnson in an all-GM final round, and he provided Pontiac with its 189th all time victory in NHRA Pro Stock competition.
“I’ve been anxious to get back in this Pontiac,” Humphreys said. “It has Warren Johnson and Kurt Johnson horsepower under the hood, and we’ve had Warren over in our pit area helping us out after every round. This is a huge win, especially to come here to this facility. It’s brand new, it’s our first time here, and the fans were amazing all weekend. It’s pretty unreal. It hasn’t hit me yet but I’m sure it will soon. We’re excited and happy to be in the winner’s circle and hopefully we’ll be back soon.”
Humphreys entered Sunday’s eliminator with the RaceRedi Pontiac GXP qualified in the No. 11 position. He defeated Rob Mansfield in round one with a 6.754 e.t. at 206.07 mph, Jim Yates in round two with a 6.714 e.t. at 206.20 mph, and Jeg Coughlin Jr. in the semifinal round with a 6.707 second run at 205.82 mph. In the finals, Johnson’s car broke a starter-drive gear and could not stage. Humphreys staged his Pontiac GXP, but shook the tires hard as soon as he left the line, and then coasted to the finish line to claim his first career victory.
